Calling Sinners...
The greatest message to ever be declared is that Christ came to save sinners. Of all the messages I have preached, the most life-giving, the most thrilling, the most powerful message is the gospel. I have found Jesus to be a wonderful Savior and my heart burns to preach that same Jesus to those who have lost hope. We want to preach Jesus as the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Calling Saints...
The saving work of Jesus does not end at salvation but only just begins. The sole answer for the struggling Christian is Jesus. The sole answer for the matured believer is Jesus. The only source of true victory and growth is Jesus. I have struggled to live the Christian life in my own strength and in my own pride, but I have come to find there is only one place where I find truth and life and that is in Jesus. We want to call Christ’s saints to pursue the person of Jesus as the answer.
To Choose Jesus.
For both the believer and the unbeliever, the answer is the same. It is Jesus. But the passive life of attending church and fulfilling our devotional disciplines does not yield a revived life. As believers we must acknowledge our serious state of lethargy and declare to the Savior our utter need of reviving. It is when we choose to pursue Jesus that we find revival. It is when we choose Jesus that we find the pleasures of the earth “grow strangely dim.“ We cannot afford any more time wasted in flesh indulgence, but instead choose Jesus as our life.
